Our pipeline outgrew our team long before our standards changed. Veyris changed the equation: every opportunity can now receive a serious first pass, while I spend my own time building conviction on the few that deserve it.
We are still a small team, but our research capacity no longer has to look small. Instead of choosing which teaser earns a week of scattered attention, we can put the whole pipeline through one configured system and begin each review with the relevant evidence, mandate fit, risks, and next diligence questions already organized.
Institutional coverage without institutional headcount
The volume was not going away. We did not need another place to store teasers or another generic checklist. We needed the capacity to investigate every opportunity against our standard, using the data and analytical depth the question required, without staffing a separate analyst team around every live deal.
Veyris lets one investor orchestrate dozens of research tasks in parallel: source retrieval, company and market context, peer work, mandate fit, scenario and return analysis, downside questions, and evidence review. Work that might otherwise move across several analysts and most of a week can come together in hours as one source-backed starting case for senior review.
The setup came before the first live deal
What made the difference was the setup. We told Veyris how we invest: the returns we’re after, how much risk we will genuinely wear, the sectors we won’t go near, the structures we prefer, the questions our committee always asks, and—the part that mattered most—why we usually say no.
This was not the polished version you would put in a deck. It was the real set of rules, encoded as a reusable investment philosophy. We could also make our own documents and Data Vault context available, connect supported model and data-provider keys, and bring customer-specific internal or third-party sources into the workflow. Once the mandate and permissioned context were explicit, the AI Analyst could begin every screen from our standard and our information—not from a generic definition of “attractive.”

Then we changed one habit
Everyone on the team now forwards every deal that comes in, the moment it arrives—not only the promising ones. Veyris is the front door of the pipeline, before anyone spends real attention. The email workflow makes that practical: from a registered sender, brief it in plain words, attach the material already on hand, and send.
Because the platform already knows what we want and can reach the relevant public and private data, the first pass comes back in our terms: this fits the mandate here; this runs into a rule you set; this source supports the claim; this assumption is the one to press. In hours, the team can receive a connected source record, financial analysis, confidence and warnings, and a sequenced diligence plan instead of a black-box label.
That changes where the week goes. Clear no’s are documented quickly. Promising maybes arrive with their weak assumptions named. The strongest opportunities reach me with enough work completed that I can move immediately into comparison, challenge, and conviction instead of starting with document triage.

Every screen becomes reusable research memory
With everything moving through one place, the pipeline becomes an institutional memory: what we saw, which evidence mattered, why we passed, what remains live, and what would change the view. The value is not only that more work gets done. Each completed screen becomes context the platform and the team can reuse.
A report can be reopened in the web app, challenged through Copilot, assigned comments and follow-ups, exported for the room, and carried into deeper diligence, monitoring, portfolio review, or strategy work. If an opportunity returns under different terms, the team starts from the original sources, concerns, model outputs, and next questions—not an inbox search and a blank page.
The investment decision remains ours. What changed is the scale and consistency of the work available before we make it, the speed at which we can deepen conviction, and the continuity of everything that follows.
